Your affiliate link is not the advertiser's link: it's a unique link identifying that the click came from YOU. When someone clicks it, the cookie stores your partnership and, if they buy within the cookie window, the commission is yours.
The steps

In the marketplace, hit «Join program» on your chosen one.

Accept the program terms (commission and hold conditions).

Once the advertiser approves you, your unique link appears in «My programs».

Add subids to your link (?subid=instagram, ?subid=newsletter) to segment by channel.
